Alyssa Ast – Freelance Writer, Journalist, Author & SEO Specialist

Writing has been the core of my very existence for as long as I can remember. My childhood storytelling eventually became a thriving career as a freelance writer, author, journalist, SEO specialist, digital marketer, and brand developer.

During my nearly 20 year career, I’ve partnered with incredible businesses and organizations, helping them flourish through powerful content that connects and customized marketing strategies. Boosting online visibility isn’t my only niche. I bring a diverse background to the table, including:

Early on in my writing career, my primary focus was journalism and investigative pieces. I have had the privilege of writing for local and state newspapers, CBS Local, and even had a brief stint as a CNN iReporter.

Book Publications

I contributed to several books in the Chicken Soup for the Soul series, along with multiple marketing and small business growth publications. I authored “The Fundamentals of SEO for the Average Joe” in 2010, sharing my deep knowledge of SEO to help business owners take control of their online presence. Since then, I’ve contributed to several published works, including:

SEO is only one piece of the puzzle. I also offer content marketing, social media strategy, and online brand development. My experience includes roles as a community relations manager, content strategist, content manager, social media manager, and project lead.
